The Royal Airforce is United Kingdom’s gorgeous aerial force. The Royal Airforce is the oldest independent air force in the world and the 10th largest public sector employer in Uk. Royal airforce has 32, 700 employees. Currently, Royal Airforce has added another achievement to her gallery by becoming the first branch of the British military to open up every role to women in a landmark move for the armed forces. Raf Recruitment will now relieve more applications from the feminine gender
Women are now eligible to apply and join Royal Airforce’s ground fighting force. What A defining decision. We believe that the Ban lift by the Government (Female services in close combat roles) influenced this strategic move. . Similar to this is the Royal Armoured Corps who recently also allowed women to join in the service. Most likely, applications may not troop in as we anticipate, this is based on the statistics of women in the air-force which is about 10%.
A former major in the British Army, Judith Webb, said, “My concern has always been to ensure that research is carried out so that women know exactly what they are in line for. Being aware of our physical differences is an important aspect, but that is where I feel research has now been carried out.”
Major Webb added: “We want to promote diversity and get the best people, and if we have got women who want to do it, who are capable of doing it – then of course they should be able to do it.”
